Art and I just finished watching Van Helsing. This was not a bad movie. I am glad that we did not pay to see it in the movie theatre. Art and I went grocery shopping today. He does not always go shopping with me but he does when he can. As we were driving home he commented about how the older folks park their carts in the middle of the shopping aisle and chat. Now he knows my weekly shopping nightmare, 0″>and why I am in such a foul mood when I return from the store. Our grocery store is not far from our house, but everyone that lives in East Moline, Silvis, and Colona shops at the same grocery store. The aisles in our store are not very wide in fact they are very narrow so if more than three people are trying to go down the same aisle it becomes chaos. I was talking to my dad earlier today and he was asking me about cooking a pasta recipe. We were chatting when he asks if when I cook pasta do I throw it on the cabinet to test to see if it is done. I told him no I just taste it. Well I guess that I am the only sane person in my family because he and my sister both use that method to test pasta. He said one day when he did that my mom looked at him like he was crazy. He was also laughing pretty hard as he was telling me this story. I told Art that the older my parents get the funnier they get.
